Care for you and your baby during early pregnancy

THRIVE FERTILITY – WHAT IS EARLY PREGNANCY CARE?

Early Pregnancy Care

At Thrive Fertility, we provide care and support in the early stages of pregnancy for patients who have conceived through fertility treatment.

Because we understand your journey to conception, we are well placed to guide you through the first trimester – a time when reassurance, monitoring, and clear advice are often most needed.

Our focus is on early pregnancy assessment, appropriate monitoring, and individualised care, ensuring that your pregnancy is progressing as expected.

What to Expect

During the first trimester, we typically provide:

  • Referral for early ultrasound to confirm pregnancy (around 7–8 weeks)
  • Review and interpretation of your ultrasound and test results
  • Follow-up appointments as clinically indicated
  • Assessment and management of early pregnancy symptoms and concerns
  • Guidance tailored to your medical and fertility history
  • Coordination of relevant early screening tests

We will outline a plan based on your individual circumstances and adjust this if needed.

Ongoing Pregnancy Care

Our care is focused on the first trimester. As your pregnancy progresses, we can refer you to a range of obstetric providers for ongoing antenatal care and delivery, including:

  • Private obstetricians
  • GP shared-care providers
  • Public maternity services

We will discuss these options with you and arrange a referral at the appropriate time.

Higher-Risk Pregnancies

Some patients require closer monitoring in early pregnancy, particularly following fertility treatment or in the presence of underlying medical conditions.

Where appropriate, we provide additional early assessment and ensure timely referral to the most suitable obstetric or specialist team.

Continuity of Care

We aim to make the transition from fertility treatment to pregnancy care as straightforward as possible.

Our role is to support you through the early stages and ensure a clear, well-coordinated handover to your ongoing care team.
